Ddr3 issue

hi guys, i have a 4gb corsair ddr3 memory which is supposed to be running at 1333mhz but is running at 1066 mhz??? so i was wondering if you guys can help me out here, i can't seem to find what the problem is? i have a asus p5qc motherboard ,a 950watt power supply and a q9300 cpu, the motherboard has a fsb of 1333mhz
