Memory Question..

Hey,

I recently purchased a :

Gigabyte GA-MA790XT-UD4P AMD 790X (Socket AM3) DDR3 Motherboard

and bought

OCZ Platinum 4GB (2x2GB) DDR3 PC3-10666C7 1333MHz Dual Channel

- 1333MHz DDR3
- CL 7-7-7-20
- Unbuffered
- 1.8-1.9 Volts

I have been reading there are problems with the memory and getting it stable? (complete novice at building pcs) I was going to start building this weekend and was wondering would the memory work fine as soon as I put it in - or will I have to do some adjusting in the bios to get it to run at the promised speed, also I was wondering if this would affect my overclocking capabilities of my processor.

I have a Phenom II X3 720 BE processor and a titan fenrir cooler (I was planning on overclocking the processor)

You'll need to manually set the speed/timings/voltage to the values you listed above in the BIOS. The RAM will most likely run under clocked on AUTO settings.
