Capturing digital video form a Canon ZR90

Hello,
Where can I get or download free software for a Canon ZR90 digital video camcorder that works with Windows XP or Pinnacle Studio 14. My computer does not recognize the connected camera, so I can not capture or download the recorded data file.

If possible, use a firewire cable to the camera and Studio will recognize it.

Studio cannot control the camera when a USB cable is used and sometimes ignores a camera completely.
