Hey guys,

I have a friend who has an X800XL and has recently put the Win7 RC1 64bit on his comp. When going to play quake live he started having issues and thus called me. I found that he didnt have drivers installed for his graphics card, but I am unable to find any that really work well. I have tried the vista 64 drivers because the Win 7 Drivers dont seem to support the card.

Any ideas is to if there is a solution to this little predicament?

Thanks in advance.

Best,

Driver update support for the x800 series ended at CCC version 9.3. I have two x800's running fine with 9.3.

Edit. My cards are using XP.

Yea I have tried to 64bit vista drivers, but it still seems to be having some issues. I am unable to open CCC and the game still has issue, but tbh, I am unsure if it is the graphics card causing the issue. There could be a CPU issue.

Yeah, I installed a PCIE x800GT for a kid a while back. It would not play WOW. All knds of weird things, crashing black screeen with audio, etc. I was surprised and verified it was the card's incapability to function properly with the game when I installed a 1900gt and all was well. Still use that same x800gt in a computer today. Works fine as long as not gaming with it.
