Hi,
When I built my computer the internet worked fine in Windows Vista Ultimate 64-bit. but I restarted the computer to change a bios setting (the setting has nothing to do with the internet) The internet stopped working. When i plugged the Ethernet cable into my friends laptop it worked fine. I tried to turn the firewall off it didnt work. Any help?

What was the setting that was changed?
Network connection still listed in Device Manager?

I changed the bios out of RAID mode and it knows theres a network

What kind of connection are you using? What Bios are you using? Have you tried reseting everything back to default? What Raid did you select and why?

A short cut would be to get a laptop that works on a similar connection and try it.

Ethernet, i reseted the bios to fail-safe defaults, a laptop did work on that connection. I didn't change a raid but to raid mode thanks.

I also clicked on SMART LAN I think that that was the problem anyhelp?Thank you
