im looking at getting 1 gtx 275, 2 gtx 260s, or 1 gtx 285. i can get the 260s for about the same price as one 285 but they might run hot on my mobo (asus p5n-d) because they would sit really close. im not sure if the gtx 285 is worth an extra $100 over the 275. i think the 260s would probly have the best performance but im not sure. other possibility is 2 gtx 275s but thats an extra $100 at least over the gtx 285 and im not sure they have much more performance than 2 260s. thoughts?

intel e8400 @ stock speeds.

currently 3gb dual channel but im gonna get more.

ill also be running @ 1920x1080 resolution

What graphics do you currently have? The reason I ask is that you might be disappointed if you don't jump your capability by a couple of levels.

If your starting point is something like a 9800GT or less, the GTX275 would be appropriate.
If you already have a GTS250, then look for the GTX285.

Other than that, I favor a single card solution over multiple cards if possible.

Your psu should be fine for any of the options.

i currently have an evga 9800gtx. it worked fine on my old monitor (1280x1024) but my new monitor is 1080p and i want a setup that can max crysis at 30 fps or above. the other question i have is about my processor. im not sure if it will be a bottleneck in sli.
