Well today I went to install my new core i7 stuff and when I tried to boot my new bloodrage gti was doa. Even the debug led didn't even work on it. I was very disappointed that they didn't even verify that the thing was good before they shipped it. I ended up going down to my local compusa and bought an asus p6t which fired right up without any problems. I'll never buy another foxconn mb and I've added them to my do not buy list along with gigabyte.

More about : bloodrage gti doa

foxconn and gigabyte are usually pretty good, surprised you got this. Could be the retailer(etailer) sending you repackaged garbage, as they often do?

It happens. I wouldn't rule a manufacturer out just because of one bad experience. Just as a counter example, I have had at least 5 Gigabyte boards with zero issues, though that doesn't mean my next couldn't be DOA. All luck of the draw, especially when UPS (shipping) gets involved.

Well I spoke to newegg today and they've agreed to refund my money as well as pay for the return shipping. They also promptly provided me with a prepaid ups shipping label and I took the mb to the ups store and shipped it back. The mb was new in the box when I got it so it was packaged by foxconn in a non functional state.

Well I've pretty much decided to stick with asus and evga from now on when it comes to mb's.

Asus is pretty good in all departments, motherboards, graphic cards and laptops, ow not forgetting their number one cust services.

Not so sure about evga, never had any evga goods.

Well newegg refunded my money yesterday so I'm pretty happy about that.

Two weeks later I returned my asus p6t because it was stuttering my system and got the evga I originally looked at.

You have to complain. I've gotten all free return shipping on all my RMA's.
One of them was an Open Box and they didn't have any more in stock so they also waived the
restocking fee when they gave me a refund because I had originally wanted an exchange.

Not surprised, its a Foxconn....

Maybe it's my luck because I've been getting good results with the brands that people think suck like Foxconn and ECS. I have to admit, I was skeptical about Foxconn at first, but both my Bloodrage and Blackops has been running flawlessly. My new ECS Black is also pretty decent so far. I went to Foxconn after
I RMA'd 2 ASUS boards and 1 Gigabyte board.

I've had a lot of trouble with OCZ and Razer stuff. Sold all my OCZ and Razer stuff.
Technical support for OCZ sucks. They only way you can communicate with them is through their
online ticket system. You have to create a new ticket every time you want to ask them something
because they close the ticket after they've replied to you for the first time. They should at least
wait a week or something before closing the ticket. Also, there's no phone number to call them.

I've heard the same about Foxconn, but like I said, I've been lucky not to deal with them.
