Invalid menu handle

Invalid Menu Handle appears when I open attachments to e mails. This is a recent problem and so far pops up on attachments from 3 of my friends. Doesn't happen all the time but frequently enough to annoy.

Downloaded a utility to clean registry and while it sped things up, it didn't cure problem.

Cannot understand most of the venacular when researching the problem in google. Does anyone who knows computers but speaks blue collar English have an answer for me?

What type of attachments? What email program?

That error is from the program that is attempting to open the attachment, for example .pdf are typically opened with Adobe Acrobat. The first step is to make sure you have the latest version of the program to open them up. You can also try saving the attachments to the desktop first, then open them up by double-clicking them.
