Quite simply I bought the Ultra MD3 media dashboard and have no idea where to hook the cord called "card reader" to the motherboard. The motherboard is a Gigabyte GA-MA790X-DS4. There are about 12 cables attached to this device and I do realize I should speak with them and have sent them an email as well. The USB, SATA, Firewire, both fan cables, pwr cable, sound cable all matched to the motherboard perfectly but not the card reader which is basically why I bought the device. Any help is appreciated. Newb so if I posted in wrong area my apologies.

It attaches to a usb bus on the motherboard, using only a few of the pins. you have to look at your mb instructions to match the pins.

Owners manuals are your friend. It clearly states on page 2 of the manual "Connect the Cardreader USB Cable to the USB port on the motherboard"

Your motherboard has 2 USB connectors labeled "F_USB1" and "F_USB2". You'll connect the USB connection to one and the card reader to the other.

In case anyone is interested in this device, please be advised that it has serveral shortcomings that make it a white elephant. First the CPU alarm is is dead set to 120 deg F. BTW-you can't selcted C. That swoopy fan speed indicator? It's a piece of poop! Only the MSD works, the other 3 digits are fixed to 0. In all this panel was designed for pimple faced teenybooper that wantes something in their case to show everyone how cool and sophisticated they are.
