Hi guys. I wanted to build a new system mainly for PC gaming and was wondering what is the best motherboard out there right now for around $150-250 ? I'm still somewhat of a rookie when it come to selecting motherboard and CPU so any help and advice would be greatly appreciated.

I want something that is stable, fast and have some room for future upgrade. My price range is $150-250 or maybe 275. Thanks a lot guys

^ What will you be the main usage of the PC apart from gaming ?
And what graphics card have you planned to use ?
Currently you can go 2 ways - 1. LGA 1366 socket mobos.
2. LGA 1156 socket mobos...
If your main usage will be gaming mainly, then you can get the 1156 socket CPUs/ mobos, which would save you good money than going with 1366 socket CPUs/ mobos...So with the money saved, you can get a more powerful graphics card...

I got an Asus Maximus III Gene for $185. It is a very high quality board for 1156 processors.

I've yet to see a negative review of this board... it was pricey, but I REALLY wanted a red & black colored board... so this is what I went with.
