Today I was like hmm I'll put the extra stick of ram I have laying around and install it. I put it in, careful to make sure there was no static shock. I rearranged the plastic case that was housing the ssd drive ( OCZ Vertex 2 80gb) and closed everything up.
I turned the computer on and when I did my ssd wasn't being detected and I'm being asked for a proper boot device. Checking my bios all of my sata cables are working but it is not detecting my ssd.

When I opened it again I saw that when I rearranged the ssd case, it pushed the ssd a little to the side and was touching the metal chasis. Could this have fried it?
Is there something else that could be going on here? I'm stuck I have no idea whats wrong. I tried switching sata cables. I tried taking the ram out. I don't know what else to do.

When you say that "all of my SATA cables are working", do you mean that you have other SATA drives which are being correctly detected?

Could you upload detailed photos of both sides of the SSD PCB?
