8Pin PCI-E Coord to Mobo?

My mobo has a 8pin slot for the cpu power and I have the CORSAIR HX Series CMPSU-850HX 850W power supply. I got this cable that is 8pins and says PCI-E in white letters on it, is it alright if I use it for mobo?

No, that connector won't fit. Your power supply should have a 4+4 pin connector for the ATX12V/EPS12V on the mainboard. It's one of the permanent cables along with two 6+2 pin PCIe connectors.

Not only should it not fit (it is keyed differently), it is wired differently. Interchanging either the CPU plug or PCIe plug with the other will result in shorting 12 volts directly to ground. If you are lucky, the overload protection of the PSU will activate and nondestructively shut the PSU down.
