My fathers old Pentium 4 computer stop working. So I took it home and breadboard it.

Right now I only have Motherboard-Cpu-Hsf on and I cant hear the "beep" from the boot when I turn the power on.

The HSF fan is working and if I install my Gpu the fan works also. So the power is working on the motheboard.

Any Idea what could be wrong ?

Is my CPu dead ? Or Mobo ?

Assuming you have a speaker on the mobo and used to hear it "beep", you could try clearing CMOS . . . then try swapping in a known working psu.

If both of those fail, its either your processor or your mobo . . . at that point, does it matter which?

I use to hear the beep and I tried to remplace the CMOS battery. I already trying using a working psu.

So i guess I am left with dead CPU or Mobo. DOH !!!!!!!!!!!
