AMD Athlon X2 (versus FX) and Foxconn Motherboard

Last response: in Motherboards

The motherboard in my home PC recently died (ASUS A8N32-SLI), and I mail-ordered a Foxconn NF4UK8AA-8EKRS motherboard to replace it, however while it shows compatibility with the AMD Athlon FX series of CPUs, it doesn't specifically call out the X2 series (my bad for not picking up on this). Does anyone know if this will work with my existing processor (AMD Athlon 64 X2 4400+ Toledo 1GHz HT 2 x 1MB L2 Cache Socket 939 Dual Core Processor).

I haven’t yet opened the package, and certainly have not tried plugging the processor into the MB. Can you please offer some insight as to whether or not this will work, before I break something.

BTW, the ASUS MB was awesome, right up until it died... only 3 years old too.

I spoke with Foxconn, and they confirmed that they MB will accept both X2 and FX processors! I'm good to go. Hopefully I won't be crying over breaking something else over the weekend...
