Excellent connection with limited or no connectivity

Hi, I am trying to set up my friend's pc wirelessly for her kids. I put in a Realtek NIC and installed the driver. (XP box) I logged into her Netgear Router from her main pc to enable broadcast and get key to put in other pc. It worked then now it doesn't. I have full bars stating excellent signal but IE states limited/no connectivity. It is also giving itself an ip address. I am probably completely overthinking this as usual but can anyone help?

Are using WEP? If so, change to WPA and try it again.
