Laptop Died...

Ok so my laptop died and i was planning on taking out the hard drive and using it in my desktop. I put it in and it only showed that it was a 10 gb drive when it should be 250... i formated it and same thing happend. Is there anyway i can find the other 240 missing gbs?

have you tried using the drive manufacturer's diagnostic software to test the drive?

the DOS versions usually come with a low level formatting option

How old is your PC? OS are you running? Have you checked the Disk Manager to see what it shows the drive is?
