Looking for a high end dual cpu Motherboard, for music production?

What Chip-set etc I'm noob and can't see the trees in this dense forest any more always used chip-set p45, socket 775, single CPU boards.

Is it just the motherboard you need? If so, mention you current config. If not, mention the parts you need.

It all depend you your budget and what exactly you want from it (and also what cpu you want use, intel or AMD ?).
One of best server boards are Tyan for example.

Intel: http://tyan.com/product_board_detail.aspx?pid=641 (this is just example as there is much more choices depending on what type of slots you need etc)

And ofcourse as those are good, they are also pricey.

It would mostly be for sound design, so that's what I need the CPU power for.
I will be using:

Graphics: Club 3D 4670 passive
HDD: 2 X-25m's SSD, Striped.
CPU: I'm not biased about Intel or AMD, just used Intel for audio upon till now. Guess I should stick with P45/775 for audio, unless someone knows better. As i stated before I am not up to date on what's best for what.

My needs,
2xFirewire 800 high speed for audio stream.
16Gig ram max is sufficient.

So it should not be that super for my needs, I just need the dual cpu.
