When i turn my computer on the screen stays black

When I turn my windows 7 computer on it says start normally or fix filed (recamended) when I click it the screen loads but after a minute the screen goes black and it won't dO anything please help Ps I'm typing this on my ipod

Not enough info.
Your OS most likely has corrupted file or files. Different computers
have different methods of restoration from hard drive partitions, pfkey assignment, etc. Computer mfg/model is a nice start.

Can you boot into Safe Mode at all ?

In other words, if you want help, give some useful information.

Nope we called the company and they said it might need A new hard drive

Again, you provide no useful information., so either boot from a windows cd, rescue disk, or press pfkey combo for your mystery machine to activate restore options.
