Wait what your motherboard has a 256bit interface? What kind of motherboard do you have?

All your motherboard needs for sli is 2 pcie slots. (oh ya the cards have to be the same for nvidia but not with ati, which you can mix and match but i recommend using the same card)

If you have two PCI-E slots you can use two PCI-E video cards. If your board uses an nVidia or certified X58 chipset, then it can use SLI (provided you have two cards you can SLI). Non nVidia chipsets use crossfire.
