Hello, on Thursday i was planning on ordering some upgrades i wanted to get a GTX 295,750watt psu and a new cpu
now he comes were i need the advice im not sure too go quad core or not i plan on doing only gaming. but i don't want a quad and waste it i hear there still not a need for gaming the two cpus i was planning on getting were :
Intel Core 2 Quad Q9550 or -
Intel Core 2 Duo E8400

some advice on what cpu to go with or a recommended one and some info on quad core gaming would really be helpfull if you need anymore info drop a comment thanks.

Get the Q9550 and overclock it, the E8400 is a good gaming CPU with normal video cards, but with a GTX 295 you'll want a quadcore.

Only if he doesn't already have DDR2 RAM and an LGA 775 mobo.

q9950 and get an aftermarket cooler =)
