Good Mobo for an i5 750?

Hi guys. I'm looking at an i5 750 build, as opposed to an i7 920, for a gaming rig I'm building, as the overall savings are considerable. Where I'm having a tough time though, is in choosing a motherboard. I'd like to have the ability to upgrade to a dual GPU set up in the future. So far, I'm considering this board:

ASUS P7P55D LGA 1156

Is it correct that this board will only allow crossfire? If so, that means I could run a Radeon 5770, or 5850, with the ability to x2 if I wanted to?

Any other boards that some of you would recommend? Is there a cheaper board that would be a more worthwhile buy, or is there a slightly more expensive board that is a better investment?

Thanks in advance.

  1. You do not want to run Crossfire on that motherboard since it runs its second PCI-E slot at 4x. This motherboard is the same price and runs both slots at 8x when in Crossfire mode.
