Thanks

Pink? all screen or lines?
Can you get to safe mode?
Can you see a cursor on the black screen?
Can you see/access the bios screen at least, so we could know if it's a monitor or video card issue or not... :hello:

Pink? all screen or lines? Screen blinks Pink just for a few seconds.
Can you get to safe mode? Yes i was just able to come up in safe mode. When i connected the ac adapter the screen went black.
Can you see a cursor on the black screen? No
Can you see/access the bios screen at least, so we could know if it's a monitor or video card issue or not... I have not been able to get into the bios screen to this point.

:hello:

Screen is all pinkish color.

Safe mode: will come up in Safe mode as long as the ac adapter is not connected???

Black screen: Cursor can not be seen

Bios: So far have not been able to get into the Bios screen.

Before we blame it on the ac adapter (and even if it's a bad adapter, it's probably not the only issue you're having...)

Here are some other things you can try (so we could eliminate things by trial and error)
To make sure it's not your video card :
-On the F8 menu at startup, can you see a VGA mode listed? if so, try that.
-If not, just go to safe mode and temporary disable your video card from Device manager. Try starting Windows normally again.

You're monitor is out of the question.

Battery and AC adpter:
-Temporary remove your battery, and try only runing on cable (ac adapter) and start windows normally.
-Remove cable and battery, hold power button for 1 min. Put only the cable back and start windows.
-And finally , try a different adapter...

U can also download (safe mode with networking) Speedfan so we can check the temperatures...

If I'll think of enything else, I'll let U know! :hello:

1. I have tried removing the battery and tried running with just the cable. Laptop screen flickers when 1st started (in Pink) then goes blank.
2. Laptop will no longer come up in safe mode at least so that i can see it.
3. From the sounds I beleive the laptop comes up fully in windows from the sounds, there just is no screen to look at.
I have noticed that if I close the lid and open it back up for a few seconds the screen flickers and i can see where it is at then goes blank again.

Is there some where that i can get the instructions for taking the screen apart and check the connections etc. ?/????

Thanks for your help.
