Can i partition 2 caviar black 1.0 TB to 200 GB raid 0

MY question is i have 2 HD 2 caviar black 1.0 TB i what to do a partition 200GB on each HD to run my OS on Raid0 im not sure if it can be done? also i have velociraptor 150 GB it this be better for my OS windows 7 then raid0 caviar black?

Yes, partition the two HDDs into 200GB/800GB - setting each partition on each HDD as primary and active. Then set them up in RAID using the BIOS settings, then re-start and load W7. Notice: WD does not recommend its Black HDDs for RAID, it recommends its RE-X HDDs.
also i have velociraptor 150 GB it this be better for my OS windows 7 then raid0 caviar black? Probably, use backup software to backup your velociraptor on one the Black HDDs

You're welcome. If you decide to use WD RE HDDs, stay away from the RE-3s. I have already had to RMA one, and I have 2 others that will not hold RAID - I just cannot return them right now.

Doesn't that only work if he has Intel's Matrix RAID? I don't think this can be done on an AMD system.
