My computer is reading only 3.5GB Ram?

To begin with I am sorry if I have chosen the wrong place to post it but my PC reads only 3.5GB Ram out of 4GB Ram. My CPU is Q9400 and mobo - GB EP45-UD3LR. I am using 32bit Windows 7. So is there any way to get to run the 4GBs and how? If not then why can't I run them?

32bit OS recognizes max 3.5 GB of RAM,for full 4GB support and more,you will need a 64 bit OS

If you have integrated graphics it will take a hunk of your ram, also. In your system window you will see the actual ram, and then it will state how much is actually available.

This thread happens pretty often. Can we get a sticky for something about 32-bit OS and less than 4GB of RAM?

32-Bit Operating Systems don't have enough addresses to see all 4GB. They can only see a maximum of around 3.5GB. If you want more then you have to get a 64-Bit OS. And why would you buy a 32-bit os for 64bit hardware. I am even pretty sure thier price is the same.
