I know its been asked but for the price difference i cannot make up my mind.

It's between these 2

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Prod [...] 6814102770

http://www.circuitcity.com/applica [...] =A271-4875

The one from circuit city has a wayyy better cooler and i trust saphire more than XFX. sooo is the added performance and perks worth the 45 bucks.

4870 is much better due to the gddr5 memory. Its worth the money.

XFX is the better company...double lifetime warranty. Way better than Saphire

Also, isn't Circuit City bankrupt? That means you can't return any faulty products.

+1 Invisik.
One point, those coolers put a fair amount of heat into the case, if your case is small, crowded or has limited airflow this could cause heating issues.

I've got a 4870 and likin it a lot. But you need to be more precise when asking what to choose. What do you want from that gfx card? Do you want to max out at all games, or just want to play casually. Btw it would be best if you post your rig specs, it's easier that way for us to help.

Eh im just gonna go with the 4850. I like crysis and far cry but to be honest i prolly wouldnt use much of the 4870's potential.

dual core 3.00 GHz AMD 5800
4GB Gskill Ram
160GB hard drive

So the newegg 100 4850 is the way to go for me. Now for my next question. I've heard of over heating problems with both cards. Should i upgrade the vga cooler? or will the stock saphire one suffice?

I have heard good things about that sapphire cooler. download HWmonitor and track the GPU temp. No need to upgrade something that works.

The Circuit City name was bought be Systemax which owns Tiger Direct and CompUSA. Just as they resurrected CompUSA as an online retailer after their bankruptcy, they did the same with Circuit City.
