I have a 2 year old laptop with the hard disk split into two partitions evenly, for some unknown reason I cannot install Windows 7 on the first partition and have to make do with it on the 2nd one (presumably storing the system on an outer part of the disk making data read /write performance a lot slower). If I try to install Win 7 on the 1st one it just says that it cannot install on this partition.
It also won't let me delete the partitions to merge them.
What the heck is going on!
