Hello,
I have a problem in trying to make this VGA work on my PC. I know my PSU is not, enough, but I'll get another one only after a month or so. I just want to make sure that VGA works. There is no 6 pin on this PSU, so I bought adapter. The problem is, that when į connect the adapter to graphic's card, PC won't turn on! I even removed HDD and DVD ROM, to make sure that VGA has enough power. PC just makes a silent sound "cick" (I don't know how to write sounds in english) and then does nothing. LEDs in MB indicates, that PC has power supply, though. There are two groups of wires from PSU, one has 2 molexs, other has one. I tried connecting adapter using molexs from each group.

My PC:
Intel Core 2 Duo E4600 2.4 GHz
Asus P5K
2x2GB A-Data EXTREME DDR2 1066+
GeForce 8600GT 512MB
SAMSUNG HA320KJ 320GB
Lg H62N DVD-\+
Codegen 400W PSU

Any help would be appreciated,
Martin

May be due to insuffficient voltage to the GPU, the display shuts off..

I'ts not only display, absolutely nothing loads.

Don't try risking with that... if possible, change your PSU..

But there is no quarantee, that everything will work fine under different PSU.
Could it be that VGA itself is broken?
I'm a little bit confused...

You're right, there is no guarantee that the vga is broken or not, but I wouldn't keep testing it with that PSU, as it could easily damage your system. It seems like you have a pretty nice computer thats worth alot more than a HD 4850. I've lost a hard drive trying to test my hd 3850 on a 300w.
