Just did my first oc, went from 2.6 to 3.25. My cpu is a Phenom II 810 (old one, they dont even make it anymore). Here are the voltages i set, please tell me if these are safe for 24/7 use:

CPU - 1.3875
CPU/NB - 1.3750
CPU VDDA 2.70300
DRAM - 1.8020
HT - 1.20575
NB - 1.20575

The only thing i didnt touch is the ram timings.

Going to run Prime95 overnight to see if it crashes.

What do you guys think? My 3dMark 11 score only went up by 30 but i think it is more dependent on the graphic card.

i see your CPU Ram 833 , this ... maybe your Ram not enough strong in high frequency or too high voltage... ! I see Dram voltage too high , 1.8020 for DDR3, go drop your voltage ram at 1.65v

^That's is because:

1- 1.8V is tooooo high for DDR3
2- CPU/NB is high too, more if you are using air cooler
3- You have enable Cool'n'quite, C1E and PCI-E spread spectrum.

What do you mean too high? Online i found that ddr3 voltage is between 1.8 and 2.0. Where can i find the correct values then?

2- CPU/NB is high too, more if you are using air cooler

What should i set it to?

3- You have enable Cool'n'quite, C1E and PCI-E spread spectrum.

I dont think i have them enabled...

1- DDR3 is rated for 1.35V at max 1.65V, 1.8V is rated for run at 1.8-2.2V and DDR can go higher, so, re-read your source or try another one (with real data this time). THe correct voltage specs for your RAM is on the RAM's sticker or manufacturer web page.
2- 1.3725 for NB on air is too high, don't go above 1.3 or 1.325 max
3- Check it too, because you say that CPU voltage is 1.3875 while CPU-Z says that is 1.287V

My ram is TW3X4G1600C9DHX from corsair but i cant find it on their website. i had cpu and pcie spectrum enabled so i disabled it. I lowered the voltage for cpu-nb to 1.35.

Will try prime95 again.

Found the specs

http://www.scribd.com/doc/30906236/TW3X4G1600C9DHX

It says its rated at 1.8v. Was my temp correct then?

Try with RAM at 1.65V, 1.8V for DDR3 really scare me.
May 27, 2011 1:06:04 PM

I have dropped the voltages and the FSB by 5 but it still BSOD on prime95... i lowered nb to 2.2 instead of 2.5 and see if it is stable now.
May 27, 2011 4:21:33 PM

Damn... i still get crashes. Any idea what i more i can do?

Also, why is the cpu voltage shows in cpu-z as 1.265 when i set it to 1.3 in bios?

Yeah, start lower. Work your way up step by step... increase voltage as needed, not as assumed to be needed.
May 27, 2011 5:00:25 PM

I lowered the FSB lower. But why is cpu-z showing my cpu core temp to be .100 volts lower than what i set it in bios?
May 27, 2011 7:56:55 PM

Any news guys? Going to try again this time. Can someone explain what the CPU VDD voltage is? I tried google but i found different explanations.

Also whats the difference between cpu/nb and nb voltage?

And a last thing, where can i find reference voltage values?

first you need go default and clear CMOS, this ... default maybe better for you. if you understood guide you can try OC again .. good luck

Are you monitoring your temps at all?

Why Saint19 had you lower your RAM voltage is to save it from burning up.It's possible you could of already damaged it.Your still going to not pass your stress testing he was just trying to save your RAM.

With only a 500mhz increase on the NB your voltage's shouldn't be anywhere near there.

You need to diable AMD Kool&Quiet to acheieve a good O.C.CPU-Z is showing your voltage so low because Kool&Quiet downclocks your CPU when it's idle.

CPU-Z and many other monitoring programs will often show lower or higher settings than the ones you've set in the BIOS.

Don't mess with the CPU NB voltage and don't mess with the CPU VDD voltages.Incorrections with those will not even allow it to boot. And you'll have to resest the BIOS.

EDIT:Here's your RAM right here..

Does actually look like it's rated for 1.8volts.

Default value is "auto" which doesnt actually show and values at all. My motherboard however has a voltage color system that shows moderate voltage as yellow and high as red, all my volts where still green thou.

Yes i am monitoring temps for cpu and gpu. The ram is not overclocked at all (still running at 1600) so why would it crash? Also in the guide it said that a boost to nb voltage is good for stability. It also said that CPU VDD will provide better voltage to the cpu.

just run the memory unlinked and run it at its stock speed and voltage, same for all north bridge and everything. Your getting too much instability and need to get back to basics. Dont just jump up the voltage and ghz and expect things to work. Set everything stock and gradually bump up the cpu mhz 100mhz at a time to start with and run prime95 for 20 mins after each speed bump until you hit the point of instability. once unstable then increase voltage. do this until you reach about 3ghz and run prime 95 for an extended period and take the jumps more slowly doing more testing. there is obviously a limit, do some research and find what is the limit of vcore NB etc. take small steps at a time until you reach a point your happy with that is stable with good temps.
May 28, 2011 12:25:29 PM

Just ran prime 95 again after adjusting some things...

What 'things' did you adjust? From --> To?

I think your shortening the life of your system by running such a long stress test. Glad it didn't appear to crash but I don't subscribe to the 24 hour torture test school of though.

Lol what? Scince when is testing your pc for stability a bad thing?

Also ran memtest and 3dmark, seems my system is fully stable now.

You guys think i should adjust my memory timings too? Only thing i didnt touch yet.

I had it at 3.8 with 1.47 stable on prime 95 for a day and intel burn test for 20 loops on highest stress test. I will take your advice and try to drop it down a bit more its just so time consuming once i got it stable at 3.9 for 24 hours i settled for 1.5 vcore temps never pass 62c avg 52 under load, avg ideal 30c. Currently i use 2 user profile setting on my msi nf980-65g Mobo on with stock frequency 1333 ram hybrid sli (lets me use sli power save and use my integrated and switch between dedicated) and vista ultimate for every day stuff, and O.C profile 3.9 and 3 way sli on windows 7 ram @ 1600 that i use for gaming, video photo editing, and every day stuff here and there don't have a device to find the delta energy usage, its on my to get list.

850 watt PSU is enough for two gtx 260, the 2nd 300 psu is only for the 3rd 260 witch only use 150 watts butt it saves me from buying another bigger
PSU.

I'm not sure that you need the 2nd PSU thats why I was saying that. But I coudl be wrong. With x3 GTX260's and your processor your using around 600 watts. That still gives you around 200 watts extra for your HDD's,etc.
