I've tested two previous model from Averatec, and what can I say? They're
priced cheap and they looked cheap - that's the bad news. The good news:
they're quite speedy and their battery performance are way above average.
BTW, the speakers on these systems - I didn't know they could be this
awful - and that eliminates the ability to entertain without a set of
(powered) external speakers.
Would I buy one myself? Heck no! Would I recommend them to folks who
don't wanna spend too much on a computer? Absolutely yes - just so long
as you can live with those speakers.

I like Averatecs and own one (a 3150). Main caveat is the keyboard: It
is a bit cramped and does take getting used to. By comparison the kbd
on my Gateway 200X (same wt, larger footprint) is excellent. But the
Gateway is also substantially more expensive.
