Hello All,

I have just installed a 965 into my system.
I turn it on and I notice both 4870 have three red lights on them at the top corner I suppose because on the cards were also three green lights.

I disconnected one card and tried again, same thing. I basically had it running then with one 4870, hdd, 2xddr3 sticks, and the cpu. Still nothing on the monitor.

I'm thinking it must be the power supply which is 600watt.
My specs:
M4a79t-deluxe
ddr3 2 sticks, 4 gigs
1 HDD
1 DVD Drive
4870 x-fired(also tried single setup)

For a last ditch effort I inserted a 3870 from my other computer, still nothing.

Am I just in the hole for another pcu?

My CPU Fan was spinning and so were the case fans. Everything lit up but just no screen.

Thanks for any help.

Great, it's not my power supply then, everything boots up fine I'm in BIOS now however when I save and exit my problem is back, nothing happens.

Sorry I didn't mention it but I am upgrading from a 720.

Thanks.

Good News! I've fixed the problem, I remember reading awhile back about some older versions of BIOS needing to be flashed in order for the CPU to be recognized.

So it was an easy fix and thank you Katanadude for reminding me to clear CMOS.

Appreciate the help guys, thanks.
