my mobo is a asrock 890fx deluxe5, cpu is 965 be, and my ram is gskill 1866mhz, im sure that the mobo would set it to default, 1333mhz and that pisses me off like no other, any possible way to oc it to 1866? or can my cpu even handle that?

basically im wondering if it can be oc'd at all, and if so, how would I do this?

Just set your overclock mode to manual and then up the ram frequency you might have to up the FSB as well to get up to 1866 then just reduce your cpu multiplier back to stock speeds and your hyper transport back to stock speed as well. I was able to get 1866Mhz on an 880G chipset so you shouldn't have any issue.
