Corrupt Icons in Taskbar?

I just built a new system and installed a couple of games. I then Pinned them to my windows 7 taskbar and delete the shortcuts from the desktop. I just restarted my computer and now the icons in my taskbar are corrupt or something. Instead of the game icons they are just a default white piece of paper icon looking thing. Been googling for an hour and can't figure out how to fix this.

I think thats because the shortcuts that you put on the taskbar are only shortcuts to the original shortcuts on the desktop....and they arent there anymore,so thats why they only show the default icon

I thought this too so I removed those from the taskbar and actually went and found the .exe for the game (its icon appears normally) and said "pin to taskbar" It then pins it but in the taskbar the icon is broken.. I have been trying EVERYTHING and can't figure this out. I even tried rebuilding my IconCache.db and that didn't even do it.
