I have a 512mb DDR2 533 and a 1GB DDR2 Memory 667/533 running for around 9 months. I also have 7 yrs old 40GB Seagate HDD. On-board video card in use.

My computer mostly hang while I'm watching videos, downloading files, and the time when I'm booting on cd to repair my bad sectors and memtest86+ my RAMs.

-2hrs of memtest86+ dont find any errors.
-HDD no longer have bad sectors.
-I remove my 512mb DDR2

But still, my computer hangs.

Can you guys tell me what's the problem?

pls help, thanks.

Try downloading and running Seagate's Sea Tools to check your HD. Also, have you checked your temps?

I've checked my HD and found some bad sectors just as i've said in the 1st post but they're already repaired. The tests always passed now.

My cpu averages around 47 degree celcius when i look at my bios. My computer has its side panel removed. How can I monitor other part's temp?
