I know I could turn them off, but i want my fading windows, i actually paid for this OS! I'm using a TNT2 with the latest 21.83 drivers from nVidia's website, the same thing happens with the 12.xx drivers included with XP.
When XP is fading out a lot of the screen (like the whole start menu) it seems to chug a lot, or even when its just drawing a lot, at times.
Is this just bad drivers? The 2D speed in a TNT2 should be the same as any geforce, that hasn't changed for a few years. Anyone else noticed this?
And yes, I have 576 megs of ram, a 566/708MHz celeron and a new 7200 rpm hard drive, it's not because of a crappy computer!
