Playing HD Videos (nvidia)

hi, new to the forum.

hope you guys can help me out here.

a couple of weeks ago i downloaded some movie trailers in HD (1280X720 .mov format) quicktime.

when i tried to play them my display i would get no video but the sound was good.

so my friends told me to get a new Graphics card, got the nvidia geforce 8400 gs.

now my videos play but now.... they play in slowmotion, once again, the sound is good

when i play a wmvHD video, they play great! problem seems to be with the .mov format.

what could be the problem, i tried messing with the settings in the nvidia control panel, nothing.

downloaded the latest driver for the nvidia card, still. i even downloaded the k-lite codecs.

i also tried different players VLC,KMP,WMP,POWERDVD.... nothing. still in slowmotion.

can someone help me? does someone know the proper settings? or is it something else?

Minimum Configuration
(to play 720p video)

Windows XP
Windows Media Player 9 Series
2.4 GHz processor or equivalent
384 MB of RAM
64 MB video card
DVD drive
1024 x 768 screen resolution

The reason your videos are slowing down is because of your proccessor, I beleive it cannot keep up with the video encoding during video playback.

anyone?
