So, I recently built a PC. Here is my hardware:

Intel Core 2 Quad CPU Q6600 @ 2.4 GHz
EVGA nForce 650i Ultra
4 x 2GB DDR2 RAM
Palit GeForce 9600GT Sonic (512mb) @ 700MHz
Raidmax 500W PSU
2 x 400 GB Western Digital SATA HDD
Airlink 150N Wireless Network Adapter
Sceptre 24" Lcd monitor
Windows Vista Ultimate (64bit) SP2
All drivers are installed and updated to their latest versions.

On Crysis (High Settings, 1920x1200), I only get about 20 fps on average. Is this what I should be getting? If that is the case, then what should I do to get higher fps? Should I get another card and SLI? That would involve me buying another mobo because my current one only has one PCI-E slot. So, is it worth it? Or is there some other way for me to raise my performance without spending too much money?

Thanks in advance

Its your gfx card, too weak for Crysis, which humbles the best at times, and your resolution is too large for the card, need a better card

I'm shocked you where getting 20FPS @ 1920 x 1200 on high
I was getting 25 FPS @ 1490 x 900 on high using a factory OC 9600GT

If I were you, if you can wait til the newer cards come out, possibly as early as Sep, then wait, if not, a single more powerful card will get you more money when its time to sell for the next gen, and trying to sell 2 9600s , well you wont be getting your money back, and have to sell both

Yep, new card if crysis means alot to you, due to motherboard, a dual gpu card would be your best bet but costly.

Your cpu, despite what some will say is fine.

I would still OC the CPU with a newer card...and I'd also think about replacing your PSU. It's 500W, sure, but it's also a raidmax. They aren't known for quality power supplies.

Actually, you should be asking why your FPS is so high. I'm surprised they were that good at that resolution.

Have you tried to OC your Q6600 to 3.0 Ghz to see how much improvement it gains?
