Installing a ssd and hdd in a new PC

Do I need to make the HDD slave? There don't appear to be the pins available I'd expect to do this

EDIT: nevermind ... I guess I was thinking of IDE drives the last time I did this and it's not necessary with SATA.
 
If you have two drives available when you install windows-7, it will put a recovery partition of 100mb on the second drive to aid recovery if the main drive fails.
This can sometimes cause other problems. If you have only one drive online, the recovery partition is put on that drive.
It is not worth it to try to remove the recovery partition.
