Hello all, my name is Alex and I recently got The Sims 2 and think it's
great. I like The Sims so much that I made website. I would like some
opinions on the site and any suggestions are welcome.

I invite everyone that's interested, to register and join in the forum. The
site is new so there's not much content just yet but there is a place where
members can upload photos and a download section that I plan to stock with
movies, skins, patches, etc.

The site is about 95% complete but what it really needs is some Sims of it's
own!

How honest do you want us to be?
I recently read at mts2 that vBulletin is not really meant to be used as a
download resource. But be that as it may, are you going to have original
movies, or movies made by others? Is this the kind of forum where people
have to upload in order to download?

I guess that depends on if it hurts my feelings or not, haha. I know what
you mean about vB not being designed to handle downloads but I've added
another bit of code designed to handle downloads. As far movies go, I'm
still new to the Sims and I'm trying to make my own. I would like to share
my own and have other members be able to share their movies and other files
if they want. There are no upload/download quotas. Anyone who registers
(everything's free) will have full access to what is on the site.

Well, sorry, didn't mean to sound like a downer or anything. Just so many
do not realize what it takes to run a sims site, so I play the bad guy at
first :) I hope your site is a big success, but at the same time, if it is,
everything may become not free in order to help you stay afloat. Check out
mts2 and see what they are going thru now just to keep themselves afloat.

Haha, no you weren't a downer. I do intend to keep the site free. The only
expenses I can foresee would be space and bandwidth and that could be
remedied with a move to a dedicated server. One must pay for their hobbies!
What I have in mind is a sort of a community lot just like the sims. It's
interesting to see the friendships that sometimes develop on web forums.
Over the years I've made friends with people that I would not have met
otherwise had it not been for our common interests in PC gaming.

Bluegenie2, I hope you join in on simsvilleusa. I can use all the input I
can get.
