Thermalright Shaman fan speed control?

Hey guys, so I just finished my rig, and in it is a thermalright Shaman. it's ******* AWESOME, and I don't think it's actually that big, like everyone says.
But anyway, it doesn't handle VRM's well, but I read somewhere that at 1300 rpm, vrm temps are decent. However I have no way to monitor the RPM so is there a software that can do that for me, or do I need some sort of adapter?

pretty good software for monitoring/controlling rpm's and temps etc. Or I'm pretty sure some of the free gfx tuning software packages will do a similar job like: riva tuner

Unfortunately I tried speedfan, but no luck.
edit: how would I work it with riva tuner? I can't figure it out. and the readme is just confusing (the help file doesn't even load...)
