Hello, Community!

I have recently upgraded my drives to include an OCZ Vertex 2 120 GB SSD.

The drive itself works great: speedy and responsive; a noticeable improvement.

I followed, well tried to follow the advice here when I first installed it.

I have the BIOS set to ACHI, all mechanical HDD weren't connected, and I had the 10.1 F6 and RST drivers/software ready to go. However, when I got to the appropriate part in the Win 7 installation and used the F6 driver, I got an error saying the drive was no longer able to be used. I have forgotten the exact wording of the error, though.

All is usually well, though: TRIM works and the drive is awesome. Except ...

The first time booting for the day I get an error as the ACHI BIOS loads. As it detects all the drives, it pauses for about a minute and then reports that "Port-00: Hard Disk, Sand Force. Device Verify Failed." It lists all the other drives and then ends with "Disk Boot Failure, Insert System Disk And Press Enter."

If I power the computer down and turn it back on, voila, all proceeds correctly and it boots to Windows.

You can see here where it fails to verify my SSD:

This is the final error message:

And, while I am at it; what is this counter here (circled in red)?

The system includes: a Core i7 920 processor on a Gigabyte EX58-UD5 motherboard.

Thank you in advance!
