Asus 9800GT Ultimate dead?

Hi, I installed a 9800GT Ultimate into my new computer and when i start it up the fan runs continuously at 100% and doesn't go back down. Also there is no image displaying. I have the drivers already installed. What did i do wrong?

My 4870 did that. Had to RMA it. (it died) I was able to test with a different GPU and computer so I knew for sure, but yours is probably pooped.

Make sure the power connectors are seated properly as well as components such as cpu, ram, hardrive, graphic card.
