Asus 9800GT Ultimate dead?

Hi, I installed a 9800GT Ultimate into my new computer and when i start it up the fan runs continuously at 100% and doesn't go back down. Also there is no image displaying. I have the drivers already installed. What did i do wrong?

Did you connect the 6-pin power connector?

Try clearing the bios. Resetting the card.
What is your power supply?
