No they are different accounts. However your desktop icons for the domain account will be saved in the folder...

C:\Documents and settings\*domainlogin*\desktop (this is for an XP machine)
C:\Users\*domainlogin*\desktop (this is for Vista and Windows 7)

You'll also notice that the folder "documents and settings" (or "users" if Vista) contains a folder for each user that has connected to the PC - each of these folders contains the Desktop icons, My documents and Faverites folders for the respective users.

Cleary in a workplace enviroment (or even a home) a users documents are their private property, for that reason only an account that has been given "local administrator" priverlages can view files in these folders (your local account is probably setup to be local admin and hence should be able to see the domain users files - this may not be the case for your domain account but is not to hard to setup, just post again if you need help)

There is also the posibility of the domain account being a "roaming profile" this is where your files are saved on the domain server(s) - if this is the case, by giving your domain account local admin access, the domain user can see the local user but not the otherway round.

Hope that helps
