Print spooler missing from services

Hello, I cannot print. On the Control Panel, Printer shows "add a printer". Servicesmsc originally showed "Printer Spooler", now it doesn't. Tried NET START SPOOLER and Start Printer Spooler. Netexe at first would not print and now flicks on and stays off. I uninstalled my printer software and reinstalled it. It keeps saying it can't find the printer device. I checked all connections. Have you tried checking the service to see if it automatically runs at startup? Run > services.msc and scroll to near the bottom and you'll find it. You should also see a "spoolsv.exe" in Windows Task Manager. If this doesn't work, have you run a virus/malware scan recently? You may have malware that's causing this.
