Can i used sata 6Gb/s hard drive in Sata 3Gb/s Port

Hello Friends

I have a purchase a new hard drive Seagate ST2000DL003 2Tb.I don`t know that this drive is 6Gb/s when i came back to home & i checked that drive in internet then i know that now there is a problem i am using Intel S3210SH Entry Server Mother Board with intel Xeon quad core processor but in my board there is no Sata 6Gb/s port I want to asked u can i used that Sata 6Gb/s drive in my system or can i used Sata 6Gb/s hard drive in Sata 3Gb/s Port.
 
Yes, you can use any SATA drive with any SATA port. The drive and the port will negotiate the fastest speed that is supported by both.

Don't worry performance - your drive will perform just as well even using the slower port. Hard drive transfer rates are limited by the mechanics of the drive, not by the connection speed. There aren't any hard drives today that go faster than 3Gbit/sec (in fact there are almost none that can even go faster than 1.5Gbit/sec).
