Graphics card too hot???

My soon to be old computer (building a new gaming system) uses an Nvidia geforce 8800GTS. It's temp is around 60 idle, but goes up to around 87 when gaming!!! Is this normal for that card?

Also ive bought gtx 295's for the system im building and i'm wondering if you guys know what there average temps would be with good airflow.

87 isn't too bad. Get worried if it starts to reach 100. Also, try cleaning the fan out with compressed air. Dust is your worst enemy.

Yeah 87c is not too high for cards.Mine temps are same as yours . No need to worry bout the temps.

87 isn't the max that the card can handle but it's on the high side. What is the GPU fan speed at that temp? Have you tried to manually set the GPU fan to 80 or 90 percent to try and keep it cooler? By doing so, it should not peak above 80.
