also it would be nice if i didn't have to change my power its 300watt if i do it's not a prob but rather not, i know the 12V rail has 14amps

The 4650 & 4670 are available in single slot, require no additional power connector, but specs call for a 400W minimum psu.

Once you replace the psu, other single slot options may be available, like this HIS 4850:

http://www.newegg.com/Product/ShowImage.aspx?CurImage=14-161-235-S02&ISList=14-161-235-S01%2c14-161-235-S02%2c14-161-235-S03%2c14-161-235-S04%2c14-161-235-S05%2c14-161-235-S06&S7ImageFlag=1&Item=N82E16814161235&Depa=0&WaterMark=1&Description=HIS%20Radeon%20HD%204850%20H485F512P%20Video%20Card%20-%20Retail

If you replace the psu, and can move that tuner card to another slot, other options are available.

What is the Gateway model number?
