32 bit app can not installed in 64 bit PC, how?

I just got my 64 bit HP desktop (Vista Premium). However, I could not install my Compaq Visual Fortran (professional 6.5 with IMSL) on it. Though I have Intel Visual Fortran, however, I really like my old software. Can anybody tell me how to resolve it?

Try the compatibility mode.
I think it's under properties when you right mouse click on the executable file.
