Canon camera troubleshooting memory card

I had installed my memory card in my laptop and viewed specific pictures. When I reinsert it in the camera (Power Shot A530) I cannot view those specific pictures on the camera's LCD monitor. I get the message "Incompatable JPEG format". I know the pictures are still on the card as I can view them on the laptop. Can I do anything to get them back on the camera monitor?

If you had your camera 's manual try checking out what format does it support.

I wonder if JPEG files can be infected. He may have got infection on his card, not in the jpeg files.
