Hi, I found this heatsink for my Pentium 4 system... It looks so... Different, what do you guys think? A good buy?

looks pretty standard to me - very much like old P4 sotck coolers. Cant see anywhere where it says what brand it is.

It looks very small, and fan speed is very high at more than 2800rpm so it will be very noisy

This is a very cost-effective fix for LGA775 sockets:

We have the latter installed and working fine on
several overclocked "PressHots" :)

 

You see, the stock Intel heatsink and fan are quite adequate;
it's the stupid push-pins that you want to avoid, if at all possible.

 

Also, the stock Intel HSF appears to have a lot more cooling fins:

I have to agree with that all the way scene i still have stocked fans on my 478pin "presshot" p4 cpu.

Hi, the only reason I ask is the Heatsink itself looks so... Thin. The normal one that I own is way thicker then this. Hight wise.
